Multiple agencies are on Percy priest lake searching for survivors of a jet that crashed around 11 AM today.
Officials tell us the jet took off from the Smyrna airport around 11 am
Sources tell News 2 that 7 people were on board the small private jet and a loud explosion was heard shortly after takeoff.
Officials say The FAA and NTSB are enroute to the scene.

.Officials with the Smyrna airport say the airport is approximately 3 miles from this location.
Officials stressed there is no need for civilians to come and help at this time looking for survivors.
