Humphreys County sheriffs office looking for an attempted catalytic converter thief.

On Wednesday June 23rd at 3:30 PM an attempted catalytic converter theft occurred in the 2000 block of Greenbrier Road in the north section of Humphreys County. The two white male suspects were driving an older model Chevrolet S10 pickup, extended cab. The truck is dark red in color with a black color hood that should be very noticeable. The suspects brought and jack with them and used it to jack up the victim’s vehicle. One of the subjects crawled under the car with a battery powered sawzall to cut the catalytic converter off. However the suspects were interrupted by an alert neighbor who confronted them. The suspects left the scene in the vehicle leaving behind their tools that will be processed for fingerprints. The witness states the pickup truck had Hickman County license plates on it but he did not remember the complete tag number. The suspects trespassing and attempted theft were captured on the property owners surveillance cameras. Please view the attached video clips and be on the lookout for this vehicle. Anyone with information about the suspects are asked to call 931-296-7792 or email CID@HCSTOTN.com
