Tom Costa, Owner/ Operator at Katie’s Ice Cream in downtown dickson is concerned as to why the Dickson Community is focusing on the negative impaction on his business rather than the concerning citizens practicing witchcraft throughout the county.
Tom earlier posted on social media, “My family and I are grateful for the outpouring of support. Many people have reached out with their prayers and we especially welcome those efforts. I realize the antagonists want us to close our business but with your support, we will continue on.
Continuing to Tom’s statement, “If you, like Mr. Derrick Jones, are curious about this incident (or any past incident) please take me up on my standing invitation to sit down and talk over a cup of coffee… I’ll buy. Please know it is difficult to witness the exaggerations and outright lies and not respond to each false or hateful comment. As you make your decision to support our business or not, I invite you to look at the profiles of those who have attacked me and our family business, Katie’s Ice Cream. No one should wonder why these people dislike what we do. However, in my humble opinion, Dickson County should be more concerned with those practicing witchcraft and involvement in the occult (knowingly or unknowingly) than someone working hard to provide a wholesome business in Downtown Dickson.”
Tom was previously taken into custody regarding an Assault Charge although the details remain unknown at this time. We will work alongside the community regarding confirmation with officials on details.
There are numerous “memes” floating around with Tom’s mugshot regarding the situation as the business pleads for a stop from the community.

Last time I checked Wicca and witchcraft is a religion, so why is Tom also not being brought up on discrimination or hate speech????? Just bc one may practice doesn’t mean they don’t work hard!!!! I know lots of people who practice Wicca and witchcraft that work hard…. probably harder than the accused, and they wouldn’t result to violence after getting upset either….. just sayin
