
In the later hours of Wednesday evening around 6:00 PM CST in Humphreys County Tennessee, Johnathan Ihnot, a 37 year old male wanted by the Humphreys County Sheriff’s Office for aggravated assault, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and 2 counts of Reckless Endangerment allegedly pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend after a confrontation that lead the individuals to end their relationship, Ihnot was not happy about the matter and took the situation to an extreme.
The victim transported some of Ihnots belongings to another residence as requested by himself, when they arrived Ihnot got into the passenger side, seat of the vehicle that was occupied by the victims two children and the victim and allegedly started shouting. After moments of confrontation, Ihnot finally decided to leave the vehicle that the victim and children were in.
When attempting to drive away, ihnot started shouting from a distance again; the victim allegedly had a Light bar on the vehicle that belonged to ihnot that he wanted back which in return led to a firearm being aimed directly onto the victim. At that point, she opened the hood of the vehicle to allow Ihnot to retrieve the light bar, when Ihnot was finished disconnecting the accessory, the victim “booked it” to safety and called 911.
It is unknown rather the firearm was loaded at this time.
Ihnot is a previous felon and does have a lengthy record.
